3 days forecast as tropical wave edges closer to SVG

Eastern Caribbean Outlook

Today: No significant change in weather conditions is expected across Barbados and much of the Windward islands as the aforementioned high pressure remains dominant. Over the northern Windwards and Leeward islands, occasional cloudiness with a few showers are likely as a few weak low level pulses traverse the northern portion of the region.

Tuesday: The tropical wave currently along 50W is expected to be just east of the southern Windwards by this time. Barbados and Trinidad can expected fair skies becoming increasingly cloudy by afternoon as activity associated with this feature begins to affect the islands. Meanwhile, the remainder of the island will remain under the influence of the high pressure system. Overnight, the tropical wave will be affecting Barbados and the southern Windward islands, where mostly cloudy skies and scattered shower activity is likely. Wednesday: The tropical wave will continue to affect Barbados and the Windward islands, with cloudy skies and some light to moderate shower activity. With the axis of the wave along the south western periphery of the high, the easterly to east north-easterly wind flow, will advect moisture northward across the southern Leewards, thus initiating some showers.
