The NHC is watching an active tropical wave that is approaching the Windward Islands. While upper level winds are not favorable for significant development, the passage of the tropical wave could bring periods of showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds for areas such as Trinadad and Tobago.
In addition to this system, the NHC is also watching a non-tropical area of low pressure off the Carolina coast. It has virtually no chance to develop much but could enhance the rains and churn up the beach water for the next day or two until it moves inland.
I will go over both of these features and more in today's video discussion which I will post later this afternoon.
