Declaration of August 3rd and 4th as Public

Holidays


The general public is asked to take note, that the public holidays of Monday July 6th and Tuesday July 7th, 2020 have been rescheduled. The days that were

expected to host the Carnival Monday and Tuesday

activities have been shifted as a result of the

cancellation of this years Carnival festival due to the

Covid-19 pandemic.



Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan, acting on the

advice of Prime Minister Dr Hon Ralph Gonsalves, has

now declared Monday August 3rd and Tuesday August

4th, 2020 as public holidays in the State of Saint

Vincent and the Grenadines.


The change stemming from this declaration is expected be valid for this year 2020 only, and should revert to the normal July Carnival Monday and Tuesday in 2021.


Vincentians at home and in the Diaspora are asked to take note of these changes.

Please note that the public holidays on Monday August 3rd and Tuesday August 4th are not Carnival holidays.
