Eastern Caribbean Outlook
Today: A surface to low level trough will be affecting Barbados and the island chain initially. Although a few isolated light to moderate showers are possible, relatively dry low to mid levels are likely to suppress widely scattered deep convective showers.
However during the afternoon, as the surface to low level trough moves westward into the eastern Caribbean Sea, low level moisture and instability ahead of the axis of an approching tropical wave, located along 50W at 2AM (0600UTC) will begin to affect Barbados and subsequently the rest of the region.
Increased cloudiness and shower activity are expected during the afternoon into the night as the wave axis approaches. Possible isolated thunderstorms are likely over some islands.
