Tonight: The axis of the tropical wave currently tilting along 14N57W 9N60W, is expected to move across Barbados and the Windward islands. During this time, moisture and instability is expected to increase across the area. The elevation of ITCZ activity and a favourable upper level environment will support convective development with, occasional pockets of moderate to heavy showers, gusts and thunderstorm activity expected. Meanwhile, The northern Leeward islands will remain under the influence of the Atlantic high pressure system where generally fair skies are anticipated.
Tuesday: Although the axis of the wave would have progressed west of the Windward islands, moisture trailing the wave axis along with ITCZ activity will continue to affect Barbados and the Windward islands. Therefore, scattered showers, occasionally moderate to heavy and isolated thunderstorm are likely to continue across Barbados, the Windward and southern Windward islands to a lesser extent. Conditions are expected to remain unchanged across the Leeward islands.
