Eastern Caribbean Outlook
Today: Some gradual improvement in weather conditions is expected across Barbados by early afternoon and the rest of the island chain as the afternoon progresses while a surface to mid-level ridge pattern build over the region.
However, improvement over Barbados and portions of the Windward islands will be shortlived as another tropical wave (currently along 47/48W at 0600UTC) will begin to affect these islands during the night.
However, current model data is indicating that moisture associated with this tropical wave will be confined to the lower levels (below 700mb (10,000ft). Nevertheless, intermittent light to moderate shower activity will still be likely during this time.
