Eastern Caribbean Outlook
Today: Weak surface to low-level convergence is expected to move over Barbados and the eastern Caribbean. Thus, occasionally cloudy skies with brief showers are forecast. A northeast to southwest oriented upper-level trough will be positioned across the island chain.
While, Barbados and the southern windwards will be under the favourable side of the trough, no significant enhancement is expected as the lower mid-levels to upper mid-levels remain dry and stable. During the night, the tropical wave presently analyzed along 53/55W will begin to affect the southern Windward islands generating cloudy to overcast skies and scattered light to moderate showers along with deep convective activity.
Barbados is expected to remain on the northern edge of this activity, hence, a few showers will remain likely.
