WEATHER FORECAST FOR SVG FEB 12TH, 2020 AS OF 6:00AM


Synopsis: The Atlantic high pressure system is the dominant feature. Forecast: Partly cloudy to cloudy, slightly hazy and breezy with a few scattered showers. Wind: E - ENE at 20 to 40 km/h. Seas: Moderate in open water with swells from 2.0m to 2.5m. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.


EASTERN CARIBBEAN OUTLOOK

Today: The Atlantic high pressure system will remain the dominant feature across Barbados and the Windward islands. As a result, fair to occasionally cloudy skies, and a few early morning scattered showers can be expected. In addition, some breezy conditions will persist as the pressure gradient continues to tighten. A layer of Saharan dust will prevail over the region allowing for a reduction of horizontal visibility. While over the Leewards a mid to upper level trough which is likely to be enhanced by an upper level jet will trigger a few occasional showers over the area.
