Synopsis: The Atlantic high pressure system is the dominant feature.
Forecast: Fair to occasionally cloudy hazy and breezy with a few brief showers.
Wind: E - ENE at 20 to 40 km/h.
Seas: Moderate in open water with swells from 1.5m to 2.5m.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
Eastern Caribbean Outlook
Tuesday: Dust haze concentrations are expected to further decrease during the day. Otherwise, no significant change in weather conditions from previous day is anticipated.
Wednesday: The surface to mid level Atlantic high pressure system will remain dominant allowing for mostly fair and breezy conditions. During the late evening a tropical wave will begin to affect Barbados and the region.
Thursday: The axis of the aforementioned tropical wave will move over the island chain. Cloudy skies, light to moderate showers and possible isolated thunderstorms will be expected. Analysis also indicates an increase in windspeeds of around 25 knots associated with this wave which may result in occasional gusts near showers.
